TerraServer:
http://terraserver.microsoft.com
- This is a Great navigation site! It lets you view or printout satellite/aerial views
of VERY small areas such as an inlet or harbor, with as much as 3 meter
resolution. You have to keep "zeroing in" on the area you want so it's
a little klutzy, but once you get there you get a really nice view of the area.
We use this to look for channels and shoals in uncharted waters (clear water of
course). We print out a copy of some of the places we go and use them in
conjunction with the proper charts to get a better feel for the water. You can
get a shot of your home this way too!
